I loved photographing this family in their amazing home in San Francisco. I met mom and dad just a few weeks earlier for a maternity shoot and fell in love with them! Mom is chill and fun and dad makes her laugh! They are so cute to watch. How special to see them with their growing family when Amara was just a few days old. They had a few special blankets that were made for baby Amara that mom wanted to incorporate into the session. I love using special items like this because it makes each session unique. I often do newborn sessions in the home to keep everyone comfortable.  I can create a studio feel even in the home. This gives a unique feel for the family photos and a more studio look for the photos of just the baby. This is my favorite combination. Amara was a perfect newborn sleeping through all of my poses and clothing changes! Mom had little leg warmers that I just had to use. So cute! Look at her tiny little feet and hands. I just love her all snuggled up!
