Beautiful Flora contacted me a few months before her baby was due to talk about a maternity and a newborn session. She was so excited about the session and had lots of ideas and hopes for the both sessions. She had purchased special maternity dresses for the portrait and was so eager to capture this special moment for her and her husband. We scheduled the session for both the Legion of Honor and a special spot in the Presidio, San Francisco. They arrived with huge smiles and nervous excitement. I was so thrilled to be at the Legion of Honor to capture Flora in her colorful dress. It was a perfect compliment for the stark architecture. We then headed to one of my favorite locations in the Presidio for beautiful foliage and light. It is delightful to photograph an expecting couple when they are having so much fun together! Flora loved the photos and said, “Omg! Thanks so much for the pictures!! They’re sooo beautiful!! You did such a great job!!!! So happy to see these nice pictures!!” Lots of excitement and anticipation for her new little boy.

We had to schedule the newborn session when baby boy was just 4 days old. 4 days! So tiny and adorable and sweet. He had to get back to the hospital for a procedure so we had to photograph on that day. Oh my heart melted when I met him. He was perfect and so calm. Mom and dad are on a beautiful journey together and I am so honored to have been able to photograph them during this special time. .
