You will be missed, Bailey

The Masons were about to head to South America where their daughter was going to be studying. Before they left, they really wanted to capture the family while everyone was still together. Their canine companion, Bailey, came out with them to Golden Gate Park, a fabulous location for family portraits. The family thought that it might be difficult to get everyone looking good in the photo including, Bailey. But, with some strategic posing, whistling and some key words like “treeeat”, I was able to capture all of the members of the family looking fabulous.

About two weeks after our session, Bailey was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away on September 23rd.

They really wanted to get these portraits done before the headed out of the country, but they did not know how important that decision would be.

“Thank you Emily,
I can’t tell you how grateful we are to have the wonderful photos you took of Bailey–of course we had no idea then how little time was left.  We have had so, so many comments from our friends and extended family on how beautiful he and the kids look in your photo that I sent out with my e-mail–my kids particularly love how he looks in that one too. You are so skilled in working with dogs (and people too, of course) and really captured his personality–that means so much to us, now that we only have photos and memories left! We will of course cherish these photos forever.
Thank you again!”
